    I agree with maybe 3 of those. I got about 5-6. It's ridiculous that we don't have a video board anywhere in the stadium. It's 2009, not 1959. The stuff worth seeing (blown calls) would never be shown. Not worth it.

    Someone in the crowd at Wrigley dumping a beer on a player or throwing something at them as that player is about to make or is making a play? Please list some of the "many, many" times this has happened. No list, but the beer dump is nothing new.

    This has happened many, many times over the years. If the game's not on ESPN, or the Cubs weren't playing a NORTHEASTERN team, this is a non-issue.

    I agree that those people are culpable, but their ineptitude does not completely absolve Bartman. He is one of many goats from that night.

    Selig should reinstate Rose via a Twitter post on the morning of September 13. With a few keystrokes he could give Rose what he wants without the dignity of a full presser, knock the NFL opening day off the front pages and put around 5,000 season tickets back into the Reds' coffers.

    The sure-to-be glorious debut is set for 2009.

    I assume we're looking at a demolition of the entire upper level (400s/500s/suites) and a refurbishment of the existing lower level (200s/100s/10s). The new upper deck would presumably be built taller to eliminate the "tunnel vision" that exists in most of the 200 level seats, and with wider aisles to accommodate handicapped fans and better crowd flow. The current upper deck went up separately from the rest of the park in the 1920s. In theory, it could be switched out with an updated version so long as the park's foundation could take it (which it possibly could; a study done in the early 2000s showed that Wrigley was still very stout at its base.)
