    I really wanted to see Torre and Manny return to the Bronx, but a Philly/NY matchup is plenty epic enough. Assuming the Yankees win, it would be the first time the Phils faced an old-line club in the Series since 1950 (also the Yankees.) Every matchup since has featured recently relocated or expansion franchises (Kansas City in 1980, Baltimore in 1983, Toronto in 1993 and Tampa Bay in 2008.)

    I think somebody on here posted that Duncan makes $800,000 with the Cardinals and that's the most amongst coaches (non-managers) in MLB. Also, I think Jaramillo used to be second on that list and now has taken over first, at least for now. Per John Hayman on MLBN, Jaramillo's take is some $400,000 more than the next-best-paid hitting coach (Mattingly.)

    Don't they have access to a ridiculous buffet and top shelf bar in a temperature controlled room? I could see why people would leave their seats often this time of year. It appeared that many were leaving with the Yankees in the field and returning when they came to bat. Club sections at NFL stadiums are just as "empty" in brutal weather.
