Since 2005, Michigan has recruited 3 QB...Ryan Mallet, David Cone, and Jason Forcier. That can't be good. And what's worse it seems like they put all of their eggs in their basket for Terrelle Pryor, who may not even got to Michigan. There is not a distinguishable QB on Michigan's roster (unless someone familiar with Michigan football can fillme in), so they better hope they land Pryor, or they are looking at a LONG...Notre Dame type season. BTB, even if they land Pryor, I believe Pryor will end at either DE or TE/WR before he leaves college. He just doens't look naturally as a QB. My guess.....David Cone???? it's not that pryor may not go to michigan - it's very likely that he's not going. it's been reported by multiple sources that pryor was going to commit to ohio state on LOI day, but his dad talked to him the night before that and asked him to take an official visit to penn state. so he's going to take officials to psu and oregon now. but ohio state is still the favorite. apparently his dad had some sort of work-related injury and is in a wheelchair or something... i heard this discussed on the radio. it'd be hard for his dad to travel to columbus to see him play, so that's why his dad wants him to come to psu. but apparently the son likes the columbus area better than happy valley and also was spending a lot of his time at the all-american game with ohio state commits. plus they pay better. so that's still the odds on favorite. but the way i hear it now is that michigan (and i suppose oregon as well) are big long-shots. apparently they have a kid who transferred from georgia tech, and he was somewhat highly-regarded coming out of high school, but even if he turns out to be a player, he's going to struggle a lot at first. and, michigan does not have anybody who can run the spread option. the ga tech transfer and david cone are both pocket passers. the only real running quarterback is a guy they just signed from florida, and he wasn't that highly-regarded as a qb prospect. for him to come in and start immediately would be a huge stretch.
