  1. agreed... can't you find a pic with MORE than three shirtless guys plz???
  2. If he hadn't been drafted in the top 10, I'm sure it wouldn't be. Or maybe Sickels is thinking he'll get moved to pitcher... I have more hope for him there.
  3. Because Kansas is the root of all evil. man, how can you hate Kansas' football team? I'm definitely rooting for Oregon State because of that comment.
  4. prepare to be jumped all over
  5. I think he got the first 3 right, except they were in the wrong order
  6. Hey, me too. I didn't think I had put that much on it. EDIT: Check out the who pickem whom page. Lots of extreme percentages with who picked whom. Only 3.8% for Iowa with McCoy in doubt? Wow. I'm confused by the New Mexico-San Jose St disparity. New Mexico is favored... and it's the New Mexico Bowl. In any case, I picked only 4 underdogs... plus the Tulsa-Utah game is exactly 50/50.
  7. That's crazy. I think San Diego is the favorite, but I'd take the field straight up against San Diego. same here.
  8. that's probably what some steelers fans said last year, after all, who's going to win three games on the road???
  9. don't worry, the refs will just bend over for you in the second half. Oh wait, you said UCLA and not Duke... guess you guys need to start playing better then!
  10. Thanks a lot for choosing NIU to be in that lousy game. Why not Kansas? They could've been much more competitive, and the nation would've gotten to see an extremely obese football coach.
  11. Zambrano won't leave unless the Cubs don't give him a good offer. I really don't think they let him get to free agency.
  12. well, if TCU wins tonight, I'll be tied for first nationally in the ESPN confidence pool... if they lose, then I'll be tied for last.
  13. I can agree with this, and I don't even really care about Illinois.
  14. hey, 25 fouls on Kent St and 16 on Duke, even though Duke shot more threes. Didn't see that coming!!!
  15. I don't think the Eagles' defense is nearly as good as it has been in past years. But, they do bring a lot of pressure, which is the one biggest thing that has caused Grossman to struggle. The Eagles aren't what they were with McNabb, but Andy Reid is a great coach, Jim Johnson is a great defensive coordinator and they manage to win even with some really good players out of the lineup. If I were a Bears fan I'd rather play another team like the Giants or Falcons, because those teams don't rush the passer as well and they aren't nearly as well-coached.
  16. He did yup, the qb's chosen were brees, romo and bulger
  17. assassinated??? damn, they were a good band.
  18. why didn't we get a barry bonds clone to pinch hit? man the cubs are stupid.
  19. I've never seen that one before, what a great image
  20. if you listened to what ESPN says The Eagles are going to the super bowl because Jeff Garcia is OMG WTF awesome. ESPN has taken the same position they did with Tony Romo, on its knees right in front of him Eventhough New Orleans lost and the bears won, New Orleans only hit a bump in the road while the bears are terrible right now The bears only have a "decent" defense because they have had poor outings the past 2 games. Hey sean salisbury, dont tell the everyone that we had a pro bowl CB and 1 of our safteys out. The colts that they left for dead last week will destroy any team out there. I didn't hear much of that, but ok.
  21. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if Gordon has a 150 OPS+ for 15 years, he's going into the HOF no matter what position he plays.
  22. DeRosa was also very unlucky in 2004. Certainly suggests that 2006 wasn't a complete fluke.
  23. Someone should show Lou this: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=5764 Only four teams did better than breaking even last year. Every other team gave up runs by trying to steal bases. Florida, Detroit, Washington, and Colorado each lost more than ten runs. A quick question for you in all seriousness. Do the stats take into account the runs that were created by pitchers making mistakes and getting to much of the plate trying to get the ball to the catcher quicker? Or the very human feel of momentum shift when a base is stolen, or its counter weight the momentum stopped by throwing out a baserunner to kill an inning? Or throwing errors or balks by pitchers who have to pay attention to runners on base, because they know your team might actually steal bases? Or the pitcher having to pitch from the stretch with runners on base, thereby losing a tic off his fastball? Or the pitcher being distracted by the runner on base and not having quite as much focus on where he wants to put each pitch? I highly doubt that all of these things are accounted for.
  24. I think this really should be split off into another thread, since almost none of it has anything to do with Rich Hill's projections for 2007.
  25. isn't that overreacting a little? The Bengals still have the 6th seed and make the playoffs if they win out. This will be tough, obviously, with a huge road game against Denver coming up this week, but I don't think Jacksonville wins out (vs NE, @ KC) and the Jets game at Miami this week is no gimme either. In any case, even if the Bengals finish with the 6th seed, I think they could beat whoever they'd play (probably Baltimore?)
