that would be awesome, as he's basically a perfect 4th outfielder. good fielder, can play all 3 positions competently, and is still dangerous with the bat.

That's where he would be in my world too but we have to live in Dustys and no way do I see Murton starting over Burnitz and God knows who else they have in the OF.

Could we please just stop mentioning The One Who Played RF? My recovery is tenuous at best right now- step 1 or 2 of 12- and I'm not sure I'm going to make it if we keep his name around here. In fact, I move that this thread be deleted and we'll move on like nothing ever happened. :-$

If Burnitz wanted to be a 4th outfielder, he'd be perfect, and with his .750 OPS is sufficient insurance to an outfielder going down (as, we could probably plug him into any outfield spot and make it for a few weeks while we deal for a replacement to the hurt guy).

 

But sadly, he'd start over Murton on Dusty's team...

I dont think you can get Burnitz as a 4th Of at 1 mill. From what I have read, he has invested his money wisely and is planning to retire unless someone comes up with a decent offer that appeals to him.
