hopefully they both collapse one night after everyone leaves and the cardinals have to cancel next season

Do they have the AG Edwards Dome as a backup option to play at if the construction of the new Busch is not done in time?

All 3 of those stadiums are close to the Arch. Maybe if that tipped over....

That would be nice. I don't hate St. Louis or the Rams (only hate the Cardinals). But IMHO football ought to be played on God's green grass and under His blue sky. Domed football is stupid.*

* The Arizona Cardinals are the only exception with their new domed stadium. You need it down there in that furnace.

Once when I was like 13 I was up in the top of the Arch looking out over the Mississippi and this guy turned to me and said, "you know this thing fell over in 79', right?"

They are being WAY to methodical here.

Just truck in a few thousand tons of C9 andpush the plunger

You're talking about the explosive C4. C9 is the military version of the old DC-9 passenger plane. (Army brat.)

They planned to implode Busch II but will now be using a wrecking ball. Someone I know in the commercial property insurance business said the insurers of the surrounding buildings got their panties in a bind and demanded the Cardinals not use explosives.

I think the idea is to unassemble the stadium, and sell the parts individually.

I could use the giant circular bit around the outside.

I'm just thinking, I live on a hill, it could be great fun rolling it down, crushing the minions.

Were this Wrigley I may feel the same way.

Of course you'd have way more reason to be sad about Wrigley. Busch isn't exactly the baseball mecca that Wrigley is.

Busch isn't as old, but probably holds more memories than Wrigley does.

He likely doesn't have an explanation. It's just more drivel from one of the "best fans in baseball."
