I was severely disappointed with Liz Phair going more and more commercial, one of the best artists of the early-mid 90s has sold out and while getting older has lost whatever edge she had. Exile in Guyville is still an amazing album.

"Exile in Guyville" is a great album. But what in god's name was "Why can't I?" I think I read that she used the same song writers who do Avril Levigne stuff...so not only did she sell out, she also decided to suck.

She has the same songwriters as Avril. She said she did it because she can't afford not to have a steady income now that she has a daughter.

Which Fox star that has ties to Chicago you think will be at game 2?

Artistic integrity traded for responsibility, hmm. Good call I guess.

I'm sure it will be some lame Fox star. Like the guy who does Hank Hill's voice.

When I saw him on the screen in his new jacket and hat last night I swore so loud that half of Murphy's bleachers turned around to stare at me

Thats hilarious.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to improve your quality of living. People want to blast Liz Phair and Jewel for "selling out" and I never understand that issue. People want this two to continue to be "struggling artists" so that they can say, "I like them, because they are not the high glitz girls like Brit(k)nees Spears, Christina Aguilera, etc, etc. Anybody who calls Liz Phair a sellout has the "problem." Believe it or not being an "independent artist", there not much pay in that. And no matter how "independent" you are, you still need money to survive.

Liz Phair is doing what most of us would had done.

Sox fans hate him too, which makes it all the funnier that he showed up last night wearing all Sox gear.

So he's Chicago's version of Ben Affleck and Boston.

The only difference is that Affleck didn't profess to be a Red Sox fan, then say that he was done with them forever, show up at a Yankee playoff game in Yankee gear and then two years later when the Red Sox were back on top, show up at the Series back in their gear supporting them.

True celebrity fans:

Red Sox - Stephen King

Yankees - Billy Crystal

Cubs - Bill Murray

Lakers - Jack Nicholson

Knicks - Spike Lee

Two more worth throwing out there:

Frankie Muniz: LA Clippers

Billy Crystal: LA Clippers

Anyone who doesn't find it embarrasing to call themselves a fan of the Clippers is a true fan.

I thought Billy Crystal liked the Mutts? Granted, I'm going off his "City Slickers" ballcap.

There is a blurb in today's Sun-Times where Bernie Mac says he never rooted for the Cubs.

why are professional journalists writing articles about how bernie mac doesn't like the cubs?

Just wait until the Sox win. Then we'll see some odd articles....

John Cusack lives and dies with the Cubs. He goes to many games each year, and he usually refuses preferencial treatment. He likes to sit in the bleachers, or anywhere he can be with the fans.

That's pretty funny. Way to go Cusack!! As somebody who was born and raised in Chicago, I want the WSox to win it against the Astros who I do not like at all. But, I would never wear a WSox hat and pretend to be a fan.

FYI, Bernie Mac has always been a Sox fan. The only reason he appeared at Wrigley to sing in 2003 was because of the Fox network/Chicago connection... Just marketing for the show.

They can keep him.
