I hope Oswalt doesnt bean him. Why risk an ump that may have an itchy trigger finger? Plus I dont think that Pujols deserves it, he did what everyone else would have done in that situation. I mean, he literally saved St. Louis season, he can take 4 or 5 slow steps toward first while watching the ball land?

First of all, just because 'everyone else does it' does not somehow make it respectful.

Second, I don't think it ever landed.

No joke. Especially since that was beyond a no doubter. I'm pretty sure everyone in the park stopped for a few seconds to watch it with him.

Also I just spoke to Mike Barrett and he said to watch out for retaliation only if Oswalt is about to come out of the game and knows nothing will happen to him in return.

I'm going to game 6 tonight as a baseball fan. The opportunity came up to take my brother-in-law for his Birthday and my wife and I decided it would be a GREAT birthday present for a HUGE Cardinals fan. My dislike for the Astros has more than quadroupled over the last few years for some reason. I hate the Cardinals but I still respect them and their fans. However, I just loathe the Astros and their fans.

Anyways, who does a Cub fan root for at game 6 of the NLCS featuring the Cardinals and the Astros? I'm falling back on ancient baseball wisdom tonight,

"Root, root, root for the home team." Can't beat em, join em... for the night anyways.

As much as I dislike both teams, I have respect for St Louis as a baseball organization. As a Cub fan, we can only dream about having our team run and hide 2 years in a row, having the division wrapped up in July, and having a General Manager that generally makes intelligent moves that keep his team competitive.

I am rooting for the Cards, because I think they are the best team in baseball, and thus have earned my respect. Not my like, but my respect as a rival.
