how freakin' lame Pierzynski just grounded out with 0 outs and a guy at 2nd and moved the guy over to 3rd in a 4-1 game. He's rounded first clapping his hands as though he had just drove in a big run or something. moving the guy over is great and all, but don't pat yourself on the back as if you've just done something great.

IF things keep going like they're going so far in the playoffs, we could see Houston, St. Louis, Chi Sox, and the Yankees moving on to the next round. I couldn't imagine a worse foursome than that. :x

Extra outs=Extra runs.

They've gotten hot at the right time.

You have to know how to clutch hit...it's a craft.

Nice job by the W. Sox coming back and taking advantage.

Teams playing well, take advantage of those mistakes and more times than not, the Cubs in '05 would've squandered that gift.

Do you think it's a positive/success frame of mind? When things go well some players tend to have that confidence of we can do it and when things are not going well they think "What will go bad now?".

Players can smell blood, Wells had been getting hard before the error and the Sox were getting good looks.

Playing well heading into the post-season has helped them relax.

props to the white sox, nearlly impossible for them not to win this series.

Just like it was nearly impossible for the Yankees to lose the ALCS? I bet a trip back to Fenway will revitalize the BoSox.

REALLY don't want to know about that ;)

Heh, of all the words to skip I have to skip the most important one of the entire sentence.

Boston's problem is who can pitch game five.

I love it. Now we just need the Angels to do their job.

only problem is the the Red Sox had a MUCH better pitch staff last year, and the White Sox have a MUCH better pitching staff than the Yankees had last year.

Maybe you should check out the Angels/Yankees game thread for some more thoughts on a parallel vein
