LHP Renyel Pinto (11-5, 3.78 ERA) @ RHP Eric Hull (7-8, 3.67 ERA)

Pinto was outstanding in his one playoff start, tossing seven shutout innings, allowing just three hits while striking out six. Hull was solid in his start against Birmingham, yielding two runs while striking out five (against no walks) in six innings for a victory.

Looks like a pretty even match-up on the surface of things. Hopefully the Jaxx can get out in front early as they did last night and stay there.

Go Jaxx!

Consider my 'even match-up' post changed to "Looks like the Jaxx pitching just shades it"

Yeah, it was your post that tipped me off. I was thinking how could Pinto be an even match-up with a guy with a 3.67 ERA and looked at what I copied from MiLB.com. Thanks!

In addition to the highest average in the playoffs, the pitchers are throwing a 1.75 ERA with 34 K's in 36 IP

WOWZERS!! Is Rich Hill back?

Aight guys, whooped them last nite, let's keep this streak a rollin'!! =D>

DJaxx lineup (according to MiLB):

Patterson, E 2B

Greenberg RF

McGehee, C 3B

Craig 1B

Sing LF

Coats, B CF

Reyes C

Rojas SS

Pinto P

I really like that lineup. It makes sense. Any chance the coach at West Tenn could be a called up to the Cubs?

Go Jaxx!! Its midnight, so bed calls me, but I'm a-listening - don't worry about that.

Cool, someone else from the UK. Hi!

Go Jaxx!

Hi! I've been active on the Jaxx threads for a couple of weeks now, ever since I gave up hope with the Cubs. Been a good time, though tiring, and the Jaxx fans have been great, informative and welcoming. So I've stayed.

Djaxx so far: EPatt grounds out 6-3

Greenberg strikes out

McGehee singles between the first and second basemen

Craig pops a curve into short left field for a base hit - nice little piece of hitting

Sing Ks looking on a fastball at the knees and on the outside corner after taking a really close pitch for a ball the pitch before

Looks like on the video that a couple of djaxx were called out on strikes on pitches that were way out of the strike zone. Would umpires tend to lean toward the Suns because they are down a game?
