Grieve would have been more valuable on the bench than the extra pitcher we carried all year. He likely would have been a more productive outfielder than Hairston or Hollandsworth as well.

That is possible, but Macias is still on the roster for Dusty to do as he pleases. Legitimate or not, my fear is that Greive may take AB's from Murton. This Cardinal series features Suppan, Morris, and Carpenter. I think all Cub fans who pay attention would like to see Murton face these guys over the weekend.

If Murton keeps on going 3-5...which he'll have to do to stay in a Dusty lineup, he'll be fine. It would be nice to see the kid play and start all the games this weekend.
