Mike Safford read off my e-mail just now on the air, but didn't answer my question on how hard Taylor was throwing. :(

 

Ortiz gets a 1-2-3 top of the 7th, Boise is tied at 1 at the 7th inning stretch.

 

Boise goes down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 7th. To the 8th we go.

 

Ortiz works around a 2-out IF single in the top of the 8th to keep Spokane scoreless. To the bottom of the 8th we go, tied at 1.

Yakima leads Tri-City 1-0 in the 2nd inning.

 

In Boise, we go to the 9th, tied at 1.

Nick Thompson is now in to pitch. Freddy Thon hits a solo HR for Spokane and Spokane now leads it 2-1. :(

And now 2005 first rounder John Mayberry, Jr. goes back-to-back with a monster shot all the way to the Boise River. 3-1, Spokane. :(

 

Thompson gets the final two outs of the top of the 9th inning. To the bottom of the 9th inning we go, Boise needs at least 2 to keep their playoff hopes alive.
