BOTTOM OF THE SIXTH INNING

 

Lee grounded to short, safe at first on a fielding error, E6

Burnitz walked, Lee to second

Garciaparra grounded into a FC, 4-6, Burnitz out at second, Lee to third

Hollandsworth struck out swinging

Cedeno singled to left field, Lee scored, Garciaparra to second

Blanco popped out to second base

 

1 runs, 1 hits, 1 errors, 2 men left on base

I really don't care about the season anymore, but Marty Foster can go take a leap into Lake Michigan and forget to float!

 

Burnitz was safe and it wasn't even close!

 

 

And good ol' Hollandsworthless Ks - gooooood job!

To be fair to the ump, if you look at where he was standing, he couldn't see how softly the ball was thrown, because the SS was standing with his back to the ump. So he didn't have a good look at the play.

 

Great job Cedeno! Ryno says he likes Cedeno a lot.

I'm not going to argue about it (this season is no longer worth arguing about many things), but as a major league ump, its his job to get in position to see the play clearly and make the right call.

I missed Z's triple... how did he get it?

 

He hit it into the right field corner, and I think Encarnacion bobbled it just a little.

Wonderful that we're actually playing baseball the right way..... now that the season was over a few games ago.
