How does ARam have only 13 GIDP? It seems that he grounds into a double play just about every day.

He actually has 14 unless the TBS announcers are wrong.

13 coming into today. I forgot about #14 from earlier tonight.

5 games under .500, 5 weeks from the finish line...

*really thinking about officially pulling the plug on this one...*

I've already pulled the plug. I told myself that if the Cubs lost to the Rockies yesterday, they weren't making the playoffs.

I actually want them to lose. Better, and better chance of Dusty getting the pink slip.

I said the same thing during the 8 game streak, but the Cubs always seem to rebound enough to keep him afloat

*sigh*

at least you got the Djaxx man.

And next year, I'll have my NY-Penn league team down the street to turn to when the Cubs again suck my butt

One of the CSN tools mentioned on the pre-game Nomar is having back problems and might miss a few games. Dusty doesn't expect him to hit the DL though.
God forbid we might have to bring up Matt Murton or Ronny Cedeno.

*sigh*

On the bases loaded, no outs situation, I was telling my dad I don't want to watch. I knew a double play was coming, and I couldn't stand it again. The perfect offensive situation, and I'm preaching doom and gloom.

In the immortal words of Ron Santo "I can't beleive it Pat, I just can't beleive it."

I would rather try and sign Furcal over Nomar at this point. To me, he has been unreliable for us for two years straight during crunch time. Once last year after we acquired him and now.

This isn't "crunch time". This is "we've been crunched" time.

No doubt we are done for, but the organization doesn't see it this way. They are not smart enough to. Still though, his injuries are staritng ot catch up to him.

They'll completely blow out Kerry's arm before calling it a season. They woudln't be the Cubs otherwise.
