I like LHP days, and I especially like Pinto - Yepez days. :)

Just a heads-up on upcoming minor league broadcasts ...

On Wednesday night, Peoria will be playing the last game of the regular season vs. the Quad Cities Swing (Cardinals affiliate). Looks like that game will feature a starting pitching rematch between Mike Billeck and Mark McCormick. They were the starting pitchers on August 11 (Regular Link), which was a tremendous game. Billek took a no-hitter into the 6th and wound up with a one-hitter; McCormick lit up the radar gun and K'd 7 in 5.2 innings and also walked 5. Should be a fun game, and it's a day game for the Cubs.

Friday, of course, features Ron & DJAXX in the broadcast booth and is mandatory radio!

Failing to listen to that game should be grounds for automatic banning from NSBB. :D Now that I said that, watch me lose my Internet connection.

I have some of the audio of the NSBB broadcast shouts that Ron has been giving. Jon posted one on his site but I have a few more. Ron has been giving so many shouts for the broadcast and the site (Thanks, Ron!) it's tough to keep up with them!

The Hill-Wainwright pitching matchup a few days ago was another good pitching duel between Cubs and Cards farmhands.

Adam Greenberg was the guest on the pregame show. A couple of lines from Greenberg:

Feeling great

We want to win, we want to win together, we want to win championships

My alma mater is having a pregame reception before the game starts. I saw a press release for it that mentioned me throwing being in the booth and my wife throwing out the first pitch. No shout for NSBB...

The wind is blowing in 30-40 MPH

If Brandon gets the record setting #26 tonight that will be extremely impressive.

Agreed.

Ugh, Pinto gets in a bases loaded jam and the fly ball with 2 outs gets misplayed in the wind. 2-0 Braves.

The tarp is brought out on the field. Ron says there's lightning as well and sent the broadcast back to the studio. I'm sure Renyel wouldn't mind of they decide to call it

How many regular season games are left for the DJaxx?

I'm pretty sure that if you count the game tonight there are 15 games remaining.

Who misplayed it? I can't fire up the broadcast for another 20 minutes or so ... though if it's raining, that might not matter.
