I think the problem isn't the fact that Corey swung at the first pitch, it's the fact that Corey got out.

In the logical realm of thinking.

Corey does alot of swinging, and not enough looking. Not taking the first pitch.

Hence barely any walks and alot of outs, including strikeouts.

His first game up, he looked at alot of pitches and seemed to be selective.

Corey is 0-3 today, and has seen 4 pitches.

His last out being good, going with the pitch.

I had no problem with Corey swinging at the first pitch in his first AB, had a problem with him swinging at it in the second AB.

Mohr should have caught that one.

Argh, two lineouts to the left side of the IF for Corey. :(

what's funny is that this argument is with a poster with the sn "Old happy cub fan"

I find it ironic that there have been very few "happy"posts from him today

I like alot of you, stopped being happy since 2003. I except a team of this payroll, and talent to be making the playoffs every year.

Having friends that are Yankees fans, they understand my frustrations.

When the Cubs are winning, I'm pretty happy. Otherwise, my tone isn't that optimistic.

I do enjoy a good debate like I have had with some people today.I'm never malicious, unless its a Cards fan.

Nice hit by Holly though. I give him credit for riding the pine, yet finding a hit when we need it.

Lawton on the other end, better not get a 9 mill contract next year.

Agreed on Holla and I doubt Lawton will get more then 3 mil next season

Haha, Hollandsworth stole Corey's luck. Let's go, Lawton, tie it up. You need your 2nd Cub HR.

Cook hasn't given up 1 HR all year, therefore this is not likely to happen.

Didn't know that - but that's not shocking, with that sinker.

Man, with FLA and HOU losing tonight, I would hate to blow this opportunity. Sure, PHI won, but the wildcard teams can be pretty bunched up if the Cubbies can pull this one out.

Look out Lee, Ramirez is passing you by for the RBI lead (of course, Lee is always on base when Ramirez comes up, while NO ONE is on base when Lee is up)
