If my math's right, the Cubs have had 11 men on in 5 innings. The Cubs need some clutch hits. ARam and Burnitz are hurting the team tonight.

I'd venture to say that the pitching has been worse than the offense. 4 runs through 5 innings is pretty good. Giving up 8 runs through 4+ is not good.

I was just referrring to the offense. No doubt the pitching is brutal tonight. The Cubs don't have a #4 or #5 pitcher and the #2 and #3 aren't all that good either.

People need to quit getting fired up about 26 year olds who get out @ Iowa.

If Welly keeps this up, he should never see the majors again. Dude's going on 27 & still suks. Sorry.

Agreed! His problem has always been lack of control. His ERA was over 4 in Iowa. I wasn't excited to have him back. :-& :|

I'm about to explode.

So Hendry enters the season with these AAA strubs who can't get through an inning without giving up a walk, or a homer.

Rich Hill

Sergio Mitre

Welly

Wuertz.

Wellemeyer in a Cubs uni is same as Farnsworth was in a Cubs uni... small flashes of brilliance (and big heat), but more often than not, can't throw strikes+gives up lots of hits.

The worst thing of all, is some Cubs fan's think our pitching is good.

This is seriously the worst pitching I've witnessed all season long.

Instead of worrying about our outfield, I'd like to trade for a stud pitcher that eats up innings.

Yep the pitching is not good. Too many people obsess over the lack of walks though, and fail to realize that pitching and defense have lost lots of games this year.

I KNOW!!!!!! DRILL BERKMAN IN THE HEAD, CREATE A BENCH CLEARING BRAWL, GET HALF OF THE ASTROS SUSPENDED AND POSSIBLY HAVE A SLIGHT CHANCE TOMORROW.

Don't even have to hit Berk in the head and he rolls on the ground....jus get it close

Not to mention we wouldn't be able to locate our punches...

Welley wasn't good at AAA either people..........

I think Rothschild needs to go. Strikes--lower part of the strike zone--let's start teaching this!

Bases loaded, 0 outs.. Literally hell for a reliever. We need a triple play to get the Cubs offense started!

I'm not a Farns fan, but he was A LOT better.

Theres so many things wrong with this team that you can point your finger at anything and find a cause to the problem.
