They should definitely send Santo home until this streak is over. or maybe until the season is over.

Why do you say that? You think he's a jinx, sounding more off than usual, or are you worried about his physical and mental health?

Hill proceeds to plunk Willy Mo and then walk Dunn. Throw strikes please.

Hasn't control issues always been the knock on Hill? Maybe he's not quite ready.

Hill strikes out Kearns to end the inning. No further damage. 1-0 Cincy. Let's go offense. Please stop sucking.

I thought you were enjoying the losing, OHCF.

I'm kinda torn. I love the Cubs, but I want Baker to get fired.

If we're not gonna win the WC, then I gotta cheer against the Cubs, so we get a nice draft pick, and a new manager.

Is it a requirement that every one of our starters not named Maddux has to throw 100 pitches by the fifth inning?

better than giving up 5 runs in the first 4 and then getting pulled before the 5th, I guess.

Wait, both options suck.

The curve is really his only established pitch. When it's on, it's devastating. When it's off, well, you can dig out the box score on his last outing, where he couldn't locate his curve OR fastball.

Hill has no business being up here. I SO wish Hendry had procured a rental starter before the trade deadline, but the only good option would have been AJ out of Florida, and that would have taken a ton to get. And he's not exactly without health problems, either.

Oh, let's not start that again. I got an earful for not understanding how you can root for the Cubs to lose.

It's like a root canal. It sucks badly, but it's probably for the best.

But we had this discussion yestersay, and I don't want to get into it again.

just checking to make sure i have this right...we are facing a lefty. we have two left handed hitting outfielders that are regulars. one is 6-52 and the other one was on base all day yesterday and is a better defender, and we are playing the guy who is 6-52.....hmmm

And we all know how great all the high draft choices we got in the'90's have turned out.

And Lee is still coming back to earth.

Yeah. Scratch my comment earlier about Dusty putting together a lineup today that made sense.
