There's a difference between delegating responsability and delegating blame.
Yes this an excerpt from your post, but the rest of the post hinges on this false pretense.

The quote is very simple. It says that the pitching is going to address the problem. That is aa proactive statement, stating what the response to the problem is going to be.

Nowhere is blame being shuffled.

Another question I have is...

Why haven't they addressed it already?

Even when Dusty made the quote (probably 24-30 hours ago), shouldn't that have been addressed after the Wed. night game or before the 1PM game on Thursday?

The quote on rotoworld is even better:

''Somebody is going to have to pay,'' Baker said. ''Somebody is in trouble. It was like doo-dooon the mound or something. Don't ask me. Larry is going to address it with them. That's Larry's department. I'm in charge, but a manager is in charge of certain functions.''

I have to wonder, did he really say doo-doo? Maybe they printed what they were allowed to and not what he said? I found it hilarious either way.

There's only one thing to be taken from this entire sequence of quotes: "Don't ask me". That's all you need to know about Dusty.

And when passing the buck doesn't work, insinuate your detractors are racist.
