Here is one I don't like:

Lawton

Walker

Lee

Ramirez

Burnitz

Barrett

Patterson

Cedeno

Here is one I like much better, with one trade:

Lawton

Walker

Lee

Ramirez

Burnitz

Nomar

Kearns

Barrett

That is trading Ronny Cedeno for Kearns. See how much that lineup looks over the other one. Otherwise, I am ready for a whole new outfield, keeping Lawton maybe, and maybe Burnitz. I love Corey but......

I'd prefer:

Lawton LF

Nomar SS

Lee 1B

Dunn RF

Aram 3B

Walker 2B

Barrett C

Cpatt CF

Or even:

Murton LF

Nomar SS

Lee 3B

Dunn RF

Aram 3B

Walker 2B

Barrett C

Cpatt CF

Could you imagine a 2-5 of Nomar-Lee-Dunn-Aram

We're not gonna get Dunn. Thats almost a guarentee, unless you wanna trade Cedeno, and Hill.

I would trade both. Not sure the Reds need a middle IF, but I would do that trade a million times. And I'm a big fan of Hill and Cedeno.

I would do that trade too. Problem is the Reds GM is a moron and won't even trade Rich Aurilia, so getting Dunn isn't going to happen. Giles is much more realistic and can put up similar numbers outside of SD.

Walker

Nomar

Giles

Lee

Ramirez

Murton

I'd prefer to spend on solid pitching like Wagner.

Pie -- CF

Walker -- 2B

Nomar -- SS

Lee -- 1B

Ramirez -- 3B

CPatt (If he can get it going.) -- RF

Barrett -- C

Murton -- LF

even if cpatt got it going he'd struggle to be an avg right fielder offensively

Todd Walker will not be a Cub next year if Dusty is still here.

Walker only hated Dusty last year. Hairston hates him this year.

My Lineup:

walker

nomar

lee

aram

nixon

mench

pie (Cubs will make the mistake of bringing him up too early)

I say we go get Johnny Damon this offseason.

CF- Damon

2b- Hairston/Walker

1b- Lee

3b- ARam

Rf- Burnitz(i would love him back)

SS- Nomar(him too)

LF- Murton

C- Barrett

If Nomar doesn't sign, I would have Ronny in there. And I would maybe go after another corner OF.

I still belive ramirez is going to be trade either by waivers or in the offseason, and why not to us?

RF M. Ramirez

3B A. Ramirez

CF Pie/Patterson

2B Walker

C Barrett

I'd rather not have Burny back next year. Give the kids a shot. I would not at all be sad to see Murton, Pie, and Lawton as the opening day OF'ers next year.

I also want to see Neifi and Macias released, replaced with Cedeno and who knows. Maybe Greenberg, although he can't play the INF. Any decent utility guys in FA next year?

And Patterson has to play his way back onto this team. Nothing should be handed to him. And if a GM offers us a decent trade for him, or if we can use him in a package to land a stud player, I say do it.

Right fielders aren't doing what they used to without the roids. I'd think a patient CPatt could at least deliver Juan Encarcion, Jose Guilen, Jeromy Burnitz type numbers.

But, could he be patient? That's his whole problem.

That's why I put IF. If he is patient, there's no reason he can't produce average to above average right fielder numbers. If not, then we need to acquire someone or keep Lawton or burny.[/b]

Why does Cincinnati want Ronny Cedeno? I think they'll be just fine with Felipe Lopez at SS for the next few seasons.

Opening Day 2006

2B Walker -- I'd like to see Soriano at 2B, but not enough money

3B A.Ramirez

CF Griffey -- if he finishes this year healthy

RF Murton

C Barrett/best available catcher money can buy
