If you're going down the stretch run of a playoff race, I don't want to endure the growing pains of a rookie. Sorry if that's just me.

I'll have to warn you not to turn the channel to TBS. Their playing great ever since they benched has beens like Brian Jordan and Raul Mondesi for the likes of Kelly Johnson, Ryan Langerhans and Jeff Francoeur.

:)

Let's see two are batting .232 and .244 with .326 obs and one is .406 with no walks. Let's check in one month.

Jordan's OPS this year .627

Mondesi's OPS this year .630

Francouer's OPS this year 1.333

Johnson's OPS this yer .720

Langerhans OPS this year .732

Murton's OPS this year 1.071

NEVER did I say Hollandsworth was better/more clutch than Murton. The only time I can recall Hollandsworth was clutch was last season in April when he hit the game tying homerun off Smoltz.

I love how awful this board is at staying on track. A predictions thread = murton debate.

Sorry for getting a good debate going.

I wasn't bashing the debate. Just making an observation.

How would you guys feel about aquiring Adam Dunn?

How about including Felix Pie and Rich Hill in the deal?

I think we need more team speed. That is the most important thing

And finally, why is Corey Patterson still in AAA, he needs to be up here in the bigs. He is awesome, why do people rag on him so much??

Its 2:30 hours to the deadline and I'm predicting that I'm going nuts, not hearing any real solid rumors yet! 8-[

I'm just sitting here listening to the score and wondering where my finger nails went :(

Follow along with the quotes. My response was to SanJoseCub. He attempted to debate my argument about Atlanta playing the rookies. They're playing better, the team is doing better. I just decided to add that Murton is blowing Hollandsworth out of the water. But, my point is I'm fine with a rookie in the line up everyday, even in a playoff chase.

I'd be very happy to acquire Adam Dunn.

If we can avoid trading those 2, then do so at all costs.

So do I, I miss Tom Goodwin.

Because Corey Patterson has a gigantic hole in his bat and refuses to listen to our hitting coaches.

Well you're a lot more of a trusting man than I

didnt Murton actually hit a fly ball with a runner on third and less than 2 outs in a close game on Wednesday. Since no other Cub has done this lately are you sure you dont want him in during the "playoff run"

I predict that nothing happens at the deadline.
