  1. Don't ask me, I can understand Enrique, do to the fact he SUCKS. But Macias is decent and he's our only back up 3rd baseman.
  2. You have to get a guy AB's, regardless.
  3. If we were able to trade Gerut and Wellmeyer for Lawton, I'm buying an ice cream cake :D
  4. Well I think we would be acquiring Soriano based on the fact either he or Walker would be playing left field.
  5. I'll have to warn you not to turn the channel to TBS. Their playing great ever since they benched has beens like Brian Jordan and Raul Mondesi for the likes of Kelly Johnson, Ryan Langerhans and Jeff Francoeur. :) Let's see two are batting .232 and .244 with .326 obs and one is .406 with no walks. Let's check in one month. Jordan's OPS this year .627 Mondesi's OPS this year .630 Francouer's OPS this year 1.333 Johnson's OPS this yer .720 Langerhans OPS this year .732 __________________________________ Hollandsworth's OPS this year .694 Murton's OPS this year 1.071 NEVER did I say Hollandsworth was better/more clutch than Murton. The only time I can recall Hollandsworth was clutch was last season in April when he hit the game tying homerun off Smoltz. Follow along with the quotes. My response was to SanJoseCub. He attempted to debate my argument about Atlanta playing the rookies. They're playing better, the team is doing better. I just decided to add that Murton is blowing Hollandsworth out of the water. But, my point is I'm fine with a rookie in the line up everyday, even in a playoff chase. Well you're a lot more of a trusting man than I
  6. How would you guys feel about aquiring Adam Dunn? How about including Felix Pie and Rich Hill in the deal? I think we need more team speed. That is the most important thing And finally, why is Corey Patterson still in AAA, he needs to be up here in the bigs. He is awesome, why do people rag on him so much?? I'd be very happy to acquire Adam Dunn. If we can avoid trading those 2, then do so at all costs. So do I, I miss Tom Goodwin. Because Corey Patterson has a gigantic hole in his bat and refuses to listen to our hitting coaches.
  7. I'm just sitting here listening to the score and wondering where my finger nails went :(
  8. Sorry for getting a good debate going.
  9. I really don't want to send Novoa down. Send down Wuertz, he's crap. If we called up Aardsma though... adios Novoa :D

  11. I don't want to endure the pain of watching Hollandsworth either. That's exactly why I want us to dramatically upgrade in Left Field. If we don't get someone else, screw it, play Murton. We'd have no other choice, but that's been my whole point in this. I'm not vouching for playing time for Holly or Gerut, they're both god awful and yes Murton is better than both. Ah screw it, i've seen the wrong in my ways. Half way through that i started to realize i was becoming a gigantic hypocrite to make my argument correct. Sorry
  12. Novoa won't get sent down, he's basically been our set-up man over the last 2 weeks.
  13. Well most likely Ronny Cedeno;Just not enough room for 3 SS's.
  14. Dusty is that you?  Nah
  15. I do? Correct me if i'm wrong but I projected the guy as someone who has the potential to be about a .270 career hitter. I just do not wish to go through growing pains with the man in the middle of a playoff race.
  16. So, a week ago he wants to be traded and now he wants to stay all of a sudden? That's typical Manny.
  17. If you're going down the stretch run of a playoff race, I don't want to endure the growing pains of a rookie. Sorry if that's just me.
  18. I'm relatively sure that they've learned their lesson and won't trade Matt Lawton for Todd Wellmeyer.
  19. Yes it does, it affects depth perception and makes the ball appear strobe light like. It was the first time I have seen Murton take a hack at a pitch but he was probably wanting to hit a 6 run homer too. Notice: it was the first time you've seen him swing like that, as have I. But the fact it was a pressure situation is what irks me. Everyone is on their feet. He RARELY swings at a first pitch without shadows. So shadows come and the 7-2 breaking ball looks like a fastball right down the shoot? Come on.
  20. ... I understand that shadows affect your vision, but it does not affect your vision to a point where you look like a blind man swinging a whiffle bat.
  21. ANYONE is a tremendous upgrade over Todd Hollandsworth besides maybe Jason Dubois, Jody Gerut, and... oh let's see... Bernie Williams. And I don't want to sell the farm for Matt Lawton, Dusty would still use Hairston lead-off, and Walker 2. So we'd have a guy with a good OBP hitting 7, let's hope Henry Blanco can keep hitting doubles and homeruns.
  22. Yes I saw the shadows, and I also saw him swing at 2 balls at his ankles and 1 ball 2 feet off the plate. Shadows or not, no way.
  23. There's a good chance 2 out 3 of those guys might be starting. They're not. The lineup listed above is today's starting lineup (I think?). Yeap, they repeated the lineup again.
  24. Yeah, the only way I'd want to make a deal is if we got a big name; Dunn Manny Soriano. That's it, or maybe some big name that we haven't heard about. But I don't want another mediocre outfielder(Lawton, Kearns, Willy Mo). That is the LAST thing we need, if we get anything, get some speed for pinch running and an arm.
