Deep fly ball to CF and he hurts himself. Dont really know how. More on that after the game finishes.

IF he is injured, this will be a terrible loss for the Twins. Surely, he is one of their leaders and IMO, a franchise player.

It doesn't seem like THAT big a loss. From my limited knowledge, Hunter is valuable for defense and his leadership than his hitting. His average isn't all THAT great, and Ford can replace his offense. It's the bench that'll be hurting.

I've been wondering about a Walker for Rincon swap, but haven't looked into it enough to know if that would work for both sides.

Ford .252/4/35

Hunter .269/14/56

Not to mention the defense and speed.

Ford: .252/.335/.368

Hunter: .269/.337/.452

Not a total dropoff in terms of OBP, but that power loss might hurt. It might require Minny to re-think their offensive battle plans, though.

now what we do is trade them corey, walker and mitre for lewford/shannonstewart/jacquejones and lecroy/crain

trhis trade gets us a very proficient starting outfielder as well as a stud reliever or swingman who provides flexibility as both a third catcher and backup 1b. ALso this would allow us to play hairston/soriano at 2nd

i dont see how this improves us in any way.

I could see Minnesota taking a look at Matt Lawton or Mike Cameron now for CF.
