A ground ball to Rick with 2 outs in the 7th, he triest to throw to third but it sails into right field

Wow, that must have been a REALLY bad throw!

Ha, I was thinking the same thing. :)

Harvey has a heck of an arm in RF.

Fuld (batting 6th today) goes 2-3 with a triple, an rbi and 2 runs scored. His average is up to .292, which is impressive given how slowly he started. I wonder if he and Nomar had a conversation about #5. :P

where did you guys get your info? this is all wrong.

it was a ground ball to third and the throw was to second

harveys throw home was amazing, as always

Thanks for the pictures! I liked the one with the I love Nomar sign behind him. The show of him swinging was great as well.

I'm still looking for a taker on the tickets for the game tomorrow.

I'm curious as to whether the mediots down there will write columns about players other than Nomar down there since they might be looking for other angles. Would be kinda nice to read some fluff piece in the Times or Trib about Ryan Harvey or Eric Patterson, imo.

DAYTONA EDGES DUNEDIN IN 2-1 SERIES FINALE

Both Lineups Were Silent The Entire Evening Until The Cubs Finally Made Some Noise In The 12th

By Bo Fulginiti

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla—The Daytona Cubs supply of midnight oil seems to be running awfully low these days.

For the ninth time this season and the second time this home stand, the Daytona Cubs needed extra frames to decide a winner.

In the fourth and final game of the series against the Dunedin Blue Jays at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, the two teams engaged in a 12 inning affair that was dominated by pitching, until the Cubs awoke from their offensive slumber in the bottom of the 12th frame to have the final word and the 2-1 victory.

With both teams held scoreless from the bottom half of the second until the last of the 12th frame, the Cubs finally made their move. Daytona loaded the bases with no outs for second baseman Robinson Chirinos, and he laced an RBI single to right field off of Blue Jays closer Milton Tavarez (3-5) to plate designated hitter Jake Fox home with the winning run.

Cubs starter Chris Shaver did not favor in the decision but was very impressive in his first in Daytona, as the lefty registered six innings of work and surrendered one earned run on four hits while he struck out six.

Daytona southpaw Jordan Gerk (3-4) pitched the final three innings and gave up just one hit while he notched two punch-outs and was credited with his third victory of the season.

The victory for Daytona helped salvage a series split as they improved to 12-20 while Dunedin dropped to 18-15 and remained in second place in the West.

The Cubs are now prepared to hit the bricks and head for Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers to take on the Miracle for a four game series beginning on Thursday night.

First pitch of Game 1 is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EST.

Nice debut for Shaver!
