Becuase that's when he turned cold. Why do you insist on tying all trends to the calendar month ?? Players don't get hot and cold on a monthly schedule, ya know.

I remember that kid in Teen Wolf was better during a full moon.

I seem to recall Corey Patterson being very up and down from month to month throughout his career. Corey Patterson = werewolf?

Holly has been hitting real well lately against RH pitching so the platoon is working. When they get to a stretch of seeing more righties it will be interesting to see what happens but for now I think they shouldn't change anything.

Hollandsworth AB R H 2B 3B HR TB RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS
07/09 - 07/17 13 2 3 0 0 0 3 0 2 2 0.231 0.333 0.231 0.564

Why pick the 7/9 - 7/17 time period?

If you use all of July his BA is .321, OBP is 394, SLG is .571 against RH pitching.

That seems pretty good to me.

OK, then by lately I meant 7/15-7/17. That makes just as much sense as pulling 7/9 - 7/17 out of the air and then using  to make it seem that it proves the statement false.

Tying trends to a calender month provides a common point of reference that can be used to avoid having one side manipulate the data to attempt to prove their pre-conceived theory.

Nice job there by Barrett. I've really liked his approach tonight.

I think that his approach always looks better when he is not batting behind neifi or corey and before the pitcher.

I agree, his approach has been fantastic starting with the Fish series. Though he hasn't ALWAYS been out of the 8 hole, it's jump started him.

Good Move by Dusty.

Edit: Whoops, I meant a shocked face, not a rolly eyes face.

Big, big hit there by Hairston.

You mean Barrett?

Yeah, that's it. He's just seeing the ball so well right now and really has his 2-strike down.

I was just joking but I agree. I noticed it during the series against the fish that he looked like he had alot of plate discipline and is a solid base hit guy and does well when batting higher in the lineup. when he is batting well it makes our lineup look that much deeper.

I just got on and having been following the game that closely, can anyone tell me if murton has seen any action in left tonight?

On a side note would anyone notice if we kidnapped dunn when the reds leave town and send macias in a reds jersey with them.

I dont know Dunn strikes out too much.

Dunn makes Corey Patterson seem like Tony Gwynn.

Didn't see it in person, just listening to the radio, but someone correct me if I am wrong, but he did solid.

Only if you sent Neifi as well so Macias has someone's shoulders to stand on.

Well if Murton can get the job done we will just stuff macias in a bag and send him on without keeping anyone :P

Overall his defense is solid however, he has to learn to hit the cut off man instead of throwing home. I noticed it in consecutive starts...

Other than the fact he can hit 40 + HR and an OBP .130 higher than Corey, yes.

If Murton gets pulled here, I'm going to flip out

Ditto.

That is why I was asking about his night defensivly because I saw this situation coming.
