And now it's seven to one.

We look like a good team when the offense shows up.

I know you'll hate to read it, but this really coincides with Patterson being demoted and Hairston and Walker moving to 1/2.

Not saying it caused it, but there is a correlation there.

Why would I hate to read it?

I think most big corey supporters like myself even conceited that Corey is not nor ever will be a leadoff hitter.

Wow some of these guys on the Reds make Corey Patterson look like a contact hitter... 97 K's for Dunn, 61 K's for Dunn in about 185 PA's, and 64 K's from LaRue in about 240 PA's. Dunn it's easier to swallow because of the walks and the power, but the other two... yikes!

Especially that other Dunn, he's brutal.

D'oh! Meant Wily Mo for the "second Dunn". He really is similar to the young Sammy Sosa... time will tell if he finds the plate discipline to become a great hitter.

I'm neutral. I've defended him, but I've also been in favor of trading him in the right deal.

Fred,

What's the record in games where the Cubs score seven or more runs?

CUBS are 18-2 when they score 7 or more runs.

Go CUBS !!

I was at one of those 2 loses (and it was againts the Reds at Wrigley :( )

Fred your meaningless stats are great... can you give me one? What's the Cubs' record when they (a) walk 4 or more times, and (b) when the Cubs allow 4 or more walks?

CUBS are 16-7 when they take 4 or more walks, 30-38 when they don't

CUBS are 11-40 when they issue 4 or more walks, 35-4 when they don't

The offense is great to see, but for me, the performance of Jerome is the real highlight of the day. If the Cubs are going to get an extra bat, it may have to be by trading him...
