Just because of this, I am getting Farnsworth back from the Tigers in MVP Baseball 2005.

Hahaha. I'm actually thinking about picking him back up in my game, too. Mainly because Dempster isnt getting the job done out of the pen for me (i have Andy sisco as my closer  ). Farns would go good in my young and awesome pen.

Sisco is in the game? Did you make him?

Seeing Farnsworth v. Wilson again inspired my new sig.

haha.

Wow, I have totally relived my love for farnsy. See my sig.

The move "DDT" got it's name from a rather infamous pesticide that had the nasty habit of killing birds, other wildlife, and the occasional human being.

The alternate definition was supplied by the infamous Jake "The Snake" Roberts, and that is "the end"

Although what Farnsy did there wasn't a DDT, if I had to call it as a wrestling move, i'd call it as a reverse bulldog (seeing as Affedlt landed on his stomach, not his back) :D

Suspensions be damned, I love nothing more than seeing Farns tackle someone.

Heh, he did try to body slam Affedlt, but at the last minute, Affedlt just DDT'd him.

What is DDT'd?

I love the Farns. We could use a guy out of the pen with that intensity and a 1.80 ERA.

It's nice to have someone on the team who'll stand up for teammates. Especially with a 100 mph heater. I wouldn't want one of those in my gut.

We've been over this before.

1) Could not find the plate for long stretches with a map and a compass

2) Fell in love with that slider of his, threw it for times 6, 7 pitches in a row, used it as his main pitch instead of a setup pitch.

Wow, I just watched the video. Farns ought to be socked with a hefty fine and suspension. Punches would not have been thrown had he not started things.

As it was, both teams were just standing on the field in a big group, and it looked like things were starting to cool off, but then Farns goes over and just seemingly tackles Affeldt out of nowhere. It was cheap.

whoever never saw Farns slam Wilson, they played it on Sportscenter during the story about today's brawl.

little know fact...all Farns punches missed. Wilson was bloodied by Damian Miller trying to push a ball through his face.

looked to me like today he should have just thrown a haymaker. Affeldt left himself wide open. of course being Farns, he would've thrown it with his right.

actually, players were just standing around until hernandez (I think thats his name) started talking again...then Farnsworth tackled Affeldt. I am guessing Affeldt was also talking smack (A few tigers said he was after the game) which is why Farnsworth went after him. I think it is silly to try to paint Farnsworth as a bad guy here, since the KC starter intentionally threw at a guys head, and then kept inciting things. True Farnsworth didn't handle it in the smartest way, but then again baseball's rules about fighting encourage stupid stuff like this to happen. I would much rather have Farnsworth on my team after what happened today than anyone even came close to standing up for Hernandez did

Oh, don't misunderstand me. Hernandez ought to be punished even more severely than Farnsworth, but Farns should be suspended as well. He threw gas on the fire. Hernandez started the fire.

Yeesh.. punches from a 100mph thrower probably feel great.. Although he probably had problems locating his punches like he does with his pitches.

his era this year shows he's not having too much of a problem.

Like if you watch WWF or WCW awhile ago, where Diamond Dallas Page just stuns him.

omg im having flashbacks of watching WCW as a lil kid

reminds how awesome bill goldberg is...err was, whats that man doin now?

Sticks and stones... another typical Farnsworth move showing his lack of judgment.

Goldberg hosts a show on, I think, the History channel. Something about Route 66 I believe.

Anyway, Farnsworth is awesome.

Haha, the Spear and the Jackhammer. He was, by far, the best wrestler when I was younger.

But wade is correct, he hosts a show on the HC, called AutoManiac (but Goldberg calls it "Inside the Ride" in an interview)

He also was in the remaking of "The Longest Yard."

Anyone know any suspensions as of lately yet?

I think the term "Million Dollar Arm, five cent head" applies here.

The best.

My favorite fan sign at a game was the one where they had a picture of The Fonz doing the double thumbs up and replaced his head with Farnsworth's. It said "The Farnz" at the top and had a bubble coming out of his mouth that said "Ey!"

Awesome.

Well

1) He's magically found it now.

2) His ERA/ (and WHIP I believe) are better against the tougher league.

If we've been through it before, you haven't convinced me yet of why he should be a stud elsewhere.

Just think what Farnsworth would have done to the Marlins if he were still on the team when Greenberg was beaned!
