Fred,

Have you got any stats on the Cubs' success when the offense sees more pitches than less?

That's something I've been working on. Will have something up in a day or two.

Thanks. I was looking at BP, but all I could find is pitcher abuse. That could be an interesting thread, given our discussion of offensive patience and Dusty.

Maybe instead of just doing offensive success in relation to pitches thrown by the other team, Fred also could do offensive success in relation to pitches/PA. Offensive success indirectly leads to higher pitch totals overall because it creates more PAs, so that measurement could be skewed.

EDIT: Wow, I misread that completely. That said, that stat that was actually proposed could still be skewed in the way I mentioned.

.... and just where have you been all afternoon, young man ??? Hmmm ???

Thanks for the update, and I was at church and taking Britt to a job interview. We went to Barnes and Noble too, which could have caused me to miss the whole game. After about 25 minutes, I started complaining and pointed out that none of these books are showing the Cubs game, so we should probably get going. :)

Well, it seems to me...... you can dress her up in a CUBS jersey and a CUBS cap.... but if she's causing you to miss games, then she's a bad influence on you, no?

Ok, then..... seems like you do have the situation under control. I'll shut up now.

I love how they call it a "defensive substitution." How about "obligatory time for the washed up 25th man?"
