I was reading his stats at baseballamerica.com and it says he is batting .300 with 28 2Bs and 12 HRs. But the most impressive part is that he has 0 errors in 82 games. Are those numbers right? Because if so, why is he still in Peoria? I find the 0 errors hard to believe.

This is just a side note and not an answer to your question, but Luis' arm is laughably bad. He longs for the strength and precision of Moises Alou.

Montanez is now a LF. I would like to see him moved up, but I think the Cubs are being patient with him as they hope he can continue to develop.

That's why I was so impressed with the 0 errors.

I wouldn't call it laughable or bad....He leads the Chiefs and is 3rd in the league with 7 assists on the season...and he has had 3 more where the catcher has dropped the ball or been knocked over and had the ball jarred loose....

Just my opinion from seeing him everyday but his arm is better than all our OF's but Harvey

Yeah, I was kind of shocked to hear Tree said that since he was drafted so high as a SS. One would assume such a high pick at SS would have a stronger arm than Moises.

I hope he does succeed but I don't have a lot of faith that he will ever develop.....He failed at least 2 years(or was it 3?) at daytona....

He can hit against kids 2 or 3 years younger but until he hits at West Tenn we shouldn't get to excited
