I haven't framed it yet. I tried it on and it completely swallowed me. I was thinking about wearing it to the games in St. Louis, but it's too big. I'm hoping to at least see Matt and tell him how much I appreciate it. Plus, I need to add his sig to my team ball.

Yah, even if the Cubs stuck Garland in the starting rotation to begin with, they wouldn't have been nearly as patient with him as the White Sox were.

Nice first game for Murton. 2 hits, a walk an rbi and a run. I remember how excited I was about Dubois after the sammy-gate game last year though. If I remember he had a homer and a triple.

 

At this point, Hendry should be a seller IMO. Ship anyone not in the following list: Z, Prior, Wood, Lee, Ramirez, Murton, Barrett, Cedeno. Build a long term winner instead of betting the farm on a turnaround second half. You gotta think that Beernutz, Walker, Williams and Maddux will get you some good prospects. Build for the long term Jim.

 

Corey is all but gone. IMO he gets dealt at the deadline for a couple B level prospects.

in my mind the problem isn't that we traded garland. we have sveral very similar guys who may end up better BUT garland for karchner sickens me....garland of the last 3 years for karchner sickens me.

willis bothers me simply because i have heard that the marlins didn't even want willis but the cubs threw him in. at that time we lost our closer and needed someone right then and teams are not looking to trade closers the first week of the season...6 fingers didn't work but i understand the logic.
