FYI to everyone. I'm going to be in and out of the house all day tomorrow. A couple of things are up in the air at the moment, but as things stand right now, I should be back by late Thursday night/early Friday morning to get it all updated. There's an outside chance I might not get things updated until Friday afternoon, but the odds of it happening are really unlikely.

A quick reminder to everyone that Ron will be fielding questions from NSBB during the broadcast tonight. If you haven't submitted a question, be sure to do so ASAP in the "Questions for Ron Potesta" thread.

Thanks to Ron for taking our questions and thanks to Raisin for starting the thread!

Thanks so much (to you and everyone else who adds in info here) for doing these. It's great to have such a reliable source of information on how these teams are doing.

From the site of the Smokies...

Sevierville, Tenn. -Thursday’s Southern League contest between Tennessee and West Tenn has been postponed due to rain and wet field conditions.

The game will be made up on a date to be determined during the Smokies upcoming trip to Jackson July 18-21.

Which means Ron won't be able to answer our questions. :(

Peoria: RHP Sean Gallagher (8-2, 1.55 ERA) vs. RHP Ryan Webb (3-7, 4.39 ERA)

Gallagher faced Kane County in back-to-back starts in early May.

May 1: 6IPs, 0R/0ER, 0 hits, 10Ks/2BBs , No-D (no-hitter lost in 9th, Chiefs won 1-0)

May 6: 6IPs, 1R/0ER, 2 hits, 4Ks/3BBs, No-D (Chiefs won)

That was during the no-earned-runs streak.

Padron had both KCO hits (2 singles).

As Nate Baliva posted in the other thread, the pregame interview will be Luis Montanez.

Well the bad news is that teh game got rained out and the NSBB shout got washed. The good news is that I'll get a DH and Ron can have me live on the pregame (if he wants).

Meh, 3-0 Cougars into the 5th.

Gallagher bled by a few consecutive singles in the 4th ... then, after a clutch double play, coughs up only the 3rd HR he's allowed so far this year.

Chiefs threaten a bit in the bottom of the 4th, but get wiped out by a disputed double play. Manager Julio Garcia is ejected for arguing that the throw had pulled the firstbaseman off the bag. When the ump ejected him, Garcia responded by ejecting the ump.

The ump is still there, though.

Apparently the I-Cubs scheduled games in New Orleans have been postponed, and they don't want Hill to miss a start. :) Edited by Laura

Here it is.

PeoriaChiefs.com[/url]"]The Peoria Chiefs in conjunction with the Chicago Cubs have announced that starting pitcher Rich Hill will start for the Chiefs Friday night against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at 7:00 PM at O’Brien Field.

Hill was scheduled to pitch for the AAA Iowa Cubs on Friday in New Orleans but an impending hurricane has cancelled the three game series and the Cubs don’t want Hill to miss a start. Instead of facing the Zephyrs, Hill will face Wisconsin in the opener of a four game weekend series at O’Brien Field.

Not to mention it's Mark Prior action figure and Zooperstars night! Unreal!
