We're now at 87 PAs of post big leagues James Triantos.  He's got 12 Ks, 13 BBs, and 8 XBHs and 9 SBs since he got back.  His wRC+ is 125ish.

Really good stuff.  He'll still play all of next season at 24, and it feels like he's gotten himself into "first guy called up for injury" status.

Really weird the seeming iron grip Karson Simas seems to have on the shortstop position at Knoxville.  When he was playing there over Rojas it seemed to be a Rojas specific implication but why's Angel Cepeda sliding over to 3b too?

Wonder if he has any trade value

For me, by far his biggest problem has been his BB%. He has been atrocious previously in his career. And he was pretty terrible overall in 2025. After his 2025 season, I saw his ceiling as an end-of-the-bench utility man at best.

He has had a much better 2026, but not enough to get me excited. However, If he can keep that BB% rate up (and I mean waaay up), all while keeping his K% down, he may turn out to be an everyday MLB player after all. Maybe he can carve out a nice career. Can anyone give me some opinions on the quality of his defense at the infield positions?
