Personally, I don't think Will Sanders, Grant Kipp, or Ariel Armas should be above the likes of Jace Beck, Pierce Coppola, Jose Escobar, Enrique Oropeza, Riley Martin, Fernando Cruz, or Jaims Martinez.

IMO, as someone who has voted on a NSB prospect list, there needs to be more than the like 25 players given to choose from. Also, the list shouldn't be preset to the most recent list. Let us make our own ranking without being funneled into choosing from only those 25 players, and without being coerced into keeping it similar to the last ranking...... just my thoughts on how NSB might get some better prospect rankings. 🙂

If there needs to be a list we pick from, maybe just list the most likely players to be our top 50 prospects for us to choose 20 from, or alternatively, list anyone and everyone that's been recently listed on a top 30 Cubs prospect list from the major prospect ranking resources online. I'd say we should have at least 35 to pick from in order to make a thoughtful list of 20.... idk

If you want a player added in the next vote all you have to do is ask in that thread. We add players every time it's requested. But please only request the players you will actually add. It becomes unwieldy trying to drag and drop with 50 names. 

I would obviously disagree with you on the first part, however. But you're welcome to that opinion. The reason I personally continue to list Sanders above most of those names is that I do believe he will start MLB games and most of those other arms are either relief profiles or just so far down the system that I have a hard time ranking them within my top-20 as arms. 

My personal philosophy is that starting profiles generally get the nod over a relief one (unless that reliever looks like a real back end guy) and that I rate premium positions over non-premium unless I rate the bat *that* high. I also rate proximity to MLB higher than those further down the system unless we are talking an elite-looking prospect or a prospect with pedigree. I try to stay as consistent as possible on that, but sometimes I deviate. I am human. But this is why you get, Rojas over Hartshorn (positional and a level higher, plus I want to see Josiah do it longer), Sorrell over Bailey (pedigree and position) and Sanders over Kipp (he's a reliever at the MLB level, IMO, not a starter).

As stated, you are more than welcome to have your philosophy. But that's why Sanders is where is on *my* rankings. Hopefully all of that helps.

I don't necessarily agree with your logic on Sanders, but I respect that there's a lot of thought behind the ranking. And that's the most important part to me. 

In terms of the players listed, what if you made a post in the minor league forum 48 hours before opening up the voting on the next prospect ranking. And in that post, request that users submit players that should be in consideration for voting, but weren't included in the last top 20 list (the top 20 guys from before are already locks to be considered, unless they became ineligible). I'm guessing that would give us 30+ names to choose from when the poll goes live. And that also makes sure that everybody that votes gets to choose from the full pool of choices. Before, if you voted early, and someone then requested more names, you were kinda screwed outta being able to choose from the newly added names.  What do you guys think? 

And if possible, let us know in advance when exactly the next poll will go up, as well as when the post requesting for other players to consider goes up (48 hours before the poll opens??). That way we can plan ahead so we don't miss it. Sorry if this all seems out of line. Just trying to offer ideas on how to potentially improve things. 🙂

All you have to do is when we open up voting, just figure out your personal top-20, and if we're missing a name you want to add, just post it in the thread. Brock will add those names. That way we don't add too many niche names that no one will use at all. 

For example, I noticed Derniche Valdez had been removed. I wanted to add him back due to his breakout with post-glasses. Brock got him right away for me! That simple. We'll get anyone added up you want. 

We also don't want an unwieldly list of guys no one will list. It's drag-and-drop and it gets a little finicky. So if we're missing some guys you need for your 20, just ask to add 'em! 

And appreciate it. I enjoy prospects and prognostication. I try to give my logic and top-20 thought and effort. If I'm going to write and podcast for the site, it's only fair I give a real honest effort! We appreciate you being involved too. Caring about what an 18 year old kid in the Complex League is a niche and frankly, dorky-ass thing. But it's a dorky-ass thing I love.

I suppose I'll chip in and do the work I'm requesting. Seems only right hahaha. I just need to make sure I submit the 10+ names that I think might cover all bases in terms of potential top 20 picks for us. And I need to do it exactly when the poll opens. Any idea on when that might be??
