The upcoming lockout has to be on the minds of every draft-eligible amateur out there.  I'm really curious to see if we see more reclassifications and also to see how signings shake out post-draft, because the new CBA will undoubtedly screw with the draft to the detriment of draftees.

That's a good point. I'm wondering if it will affect a lot of high schoolers as well. I imagine a lot of them will be leaning college ball at this point with the CBA uncertainty. Plus I expect the NIL impact on the draft to increase this year too.

This was my thought too. The deadline had passed to re-classify but Grindlinger got a special exemption. Wonder if the rumors of getting rid of prep draft picks in future years spurred him on.

Gasparino out here matching Roch with 5 homers and his K% is only about 15%. Definitely playing himself into first round talk (was a  top 100 prospect out of Hs and had the been around the game rep since his dad is a VP with the Dodgers).

Anyone on University of Arizona's roster worth watching this year? Usually I'm up to date on their guys but I havent paid as much attention this year to who they have. Trying to get to a few of their games in March.

The only Arizona player in BA's top 100 college prospects is RHP Owen Kramkowski.

Jaxon Jelkin is absolutely dealing today for Kentucky. 6IP, 6K, 1BB, 1H so far. Under 70 pitches through 6. 

Not only do we know the Cubs cannot resist a Jaxon, his low arm slot is Cub-coded.
