They'll probably be fine. Fangraphs has them at an 80% playoff team,

The regression monster has come for that pitching staff.   I think the monster will be staying there for a while.  League worst ERA in June.

Yeah, the Mets are imploding right now. Beyond the pale how bad they are. Brewers drilled them in 1st game of doubleheader and will have a good shot at a sweep with their big rookie starting the 2nd game (Miz) I hate the Mets in general but I don't know what the hell has happened there....just brutal. I wonder if they regret signing Soto to all that money that could've bought 5-7 very good players instead. LOL.

I can’t stand the Mets either lol.  It would be hilarious if they miss the playoffs after spending all that money in the off season.  I’ve seen enough to know they aren’t going to win their division, their best case scenario will be fighting the Padres/Cards/Giants for that last wildcard spot.

Being pedantic, from June 1st-June 30th they were fourth worst in overall ERA. 2nd worst BP ERA.

Regardless, their xFIP isn't as bad, and suggests that they probably got a bit unlucky, though not much. But the injuries have really mounted. I'd guess they'll buy a few BP arms in July and stay afloat to make a playoff game. Though wouldn't back them as a particularly strong playoff roster unless the injuries lesson up and come back healthy.

I should have clarified that was starters ERA as league worst in June.  They had some starters pitching out of their minds for the first 6-7 weeks of the season.  I truly would not be surprised if they didn’t make the playoffs.

I've got their SP ERA at 4.30 which was 17th in June. The Twins were the worst at 5.59.

They have been the 2nd worst since June 15th though!

Spoiler

The Cubs were last. Shhhh.

“Pedantic.” I know you’re an English teacher but now you’re just showing off.

Concessions everywhere in the Chicagoland area is crazy, no matter what event you go to.   It like they charge over 100% of what it actually cost them to buy.

All you gotta see is bottled water costing 7-10 bucks, you know youre going broke if you eat there.

It's WAY more than 100%

I would trust JR's research over Yahoo.

Current Cubs are 2 for 17 against Bibee.

Current Indians, err Guardians, are 5 for 18 against Shota.

What does this mean? Nothing probably.

Especially when I cannot read that it was from June 13th and it was a google search, not that it matters much.

Really wild that Baez and PCA are going to be ASG starting OFers on opposing teams.

Don’t want to dog on him too much on the night he makes the All-Star team but PCA has had a pretty rough 10 days or so with the bat.

Shota serving up batting practice. Back to back immediate homers. Now he hits a batter, still no outs.
