Jordan Wicks is healthy and starting for Iowa.

I was just wondering when this would happen.  Sharma said last weekend he was close to game action.

What an outing from Wicks.  Would be awesome if the time on the shelf helped him, whether that be physically or mentally.

(Also worth noting he was due a little positive regression on the batted ball front)

7 whiffs in 3 innings.

A lot of the (perceived?) lower ceiling SP's in the system have been absolutely balling out the last month or so

Wonder how much of it comes back to the Cubs success with low mph four seamers.  Lance put out a video early in the year about how the Cubs had really done well with pitchers this year with lower velo fastballs. Id guess maybe a Zombro thing and it may extend, especially to the lower levels where lower velo plays up more? Just spitballing, but yeah, this has been a thing at almost every level.

Just checked and Jordan Wicks averaged 94 and touched 96 today?!

Really interested to see if that is a thing now or if it was purely because this was a short start.  Though even if its the latter Wicks as a MIRP might need to be under heavier consideration.
