That would be quite a trick to hit a homer the day before you have a game.

Don't ruin the joke please.

Killian rolling again tonight: 4IP, 2H, 0BB, 3K.

5th August start with an ERA  in and around 1.30.

At this point he's gotta be the September call up, right?

Killian breezed through the 5th. Came out for the 6th for the first time this year. Got the first guy out, then loaded the bases before getting pulled. Two of them scored.

Still a good game.

With Palencia and Thompson coming up today it's gotta come down to Kilian or Wicks.  And the Athletic a few days ago kind of threw cold water on Wicks immediately rejoining the rotation so yeah it does feel like Kilian.

David Bracho hurled three innings of one-hit / shutout ball with four strikeouts, Eli Lovich and Derik Alcantara cracked RBI doubles, and Ty Southisene reached base three times, stole three bases, scored two runs, and made two spectacular plays in the field (a no-look over-the-shoulder diving catch in short CF and a backhanded stop & leaping throw from behind second base that resulted in a 4-3 put-out), leading the ACL Cubs to a 4-1 victory over the ACL Athletics in Arizona Complex League Continuation Camp (East Valley Bridge Group) game action Tuesday morning at Sloan Park in Mesa, AZ.
