Do you guys think Jonathan Long is someone to actually get interested in long term or is he just on a massive heater?

I'd assume it is a heater until he keeps it up for long enough.

3 hit days for Hearn (also a BB).

Intersting.

July was probaly the best month he's had in the minors. It would be nice if he could resurrect his status as a prospect.

He never was a prospect. His career's triple slash line since 2019 is .191/.287/.627

Oh, he most certainly was a prospect when drafted. I believe some even considered him the top HS C prospect the year the Cubs drafted him.

He’s had very little success in the minors. I think he went on a heater his 2nd season in A ball and is now doing the same in 2nd season in A+.

His chances aren't good. Four years in A ball is rough, but some guys do develop late. We’ll see?!?

6th round pick

Per Jim Callis:

"The top-ranked prep catcher in a down 2019 class, Hearn should have gone in the top three rounds on talent but signability concerns dropped him to Chicago in the sixth round. That still made him the first high school backstop taken and he gave up his Mississippi State commitment to sign for $950,000, the equivalent of second-round money."

You're in the draft threads enough to know that round drafted isn't a good barometer of a player's draft/prospect ranking (and I see Donzo brought the specifics about how well Hearn was thought of).
