Consecutive good starts with improved control since the all-star break. And in both starts, he maintained his velocity throughout the outing; a problem he had earlier this season.

Nice to see that he only gave up the 1 hit while limiting walks, so the stuff is still there and he's not just trying to groove it over.

Every time I look at the stats, I have to remind myself that Alcantara started 0-29. Coming into today, he had a .378 wOBA since that time. Obviously even higher now.
