Tennessee is facing Reds prospect Rhett Lowder. They scratched out a run in the first after an Alcántara walk, Triantos double and a Ballesteros sac fly.

Derniche Valdez was pulled mid-game Thursday and didn’t start Friday or today. He apparently PH yesterday but it’s tough to trust ACL box score accuracy.

Might be injured, might be something else (remembering he was on the restricted list for a lot of extended spring training).

That's Triantos' 13th XBH of the year already.  He had 22 last year (missed some time with injury) and 32 the year before.  It really looks like the power has taken a step forward and with zero trade-off for contact.

Mervis is so disappointing. Dude makes AAA pitching his bitch and then comes to the MLB and looks like he's never swung a bat before.

 

I know that's not necessarily rare but man it sucks.

He needs to go somewhere to get 400 PAs and get out of his head.
