Statcast doesn't make this as easy as I'd like, and FG doesn't have any of their fancier data game by game for minor leaguers like they do for major leaguers.  However, it appears that Davis has over the last week or so finally reached a level of contact that is not particularly problematic.  Looks like he's running a ~70% contact rate in this time, which is below average but totally fine for a power hitter.  April he was under 60%, which is basically only sustainable if you're prime Joey Gallo.

Given the trials and tribulations you need a hell of a lot more than a week of adequate contact data before you start clamoring for a callup.  However because of those trials and tribulations I think you can be more hopeful that the improved contact numbers are a rediscovering of form and not general ebbs and flows.

Fangraphs list is quite good. Been waiting awhile for it to come out. There's a few guys I'd put higher on my (Derniche, Gallardo, Drew Gray) but it's hard to argue with for the most part. Christian Hernandez really took a tumble. And they are not buying Mervis and McGeary's numbers.

Kinda interesting to me that Fangraphs was the high eval on Triantos last year(50), and this year dropped him to a 45, but the commentary is basically the same?  Maybe you could see a little more bearishness on the defense or power potential, but splitting hairs for the magnitude of the drop.

I mostly ignore Fangraphs ratings, especially for tools, since they're wildly inconsistent, but i take a look at the writeups.

Maybe not the same guy as Eric but FG rated Imanaga a 40 for FB tool pre-season.  They also have Matt Shaw with a 30 glove right now, Triantos with 40 arm, and still have PCA with 60 run.
