Seiya swung when he should have taken, Bellinger took when he should have swung

And we get no runs with bases loaded and no outs

Seiya swinging at ball 4

I know he didn’t have a spring training, but he’s been disappointing so far. His patience was one of his better skill sets.

did that just say the Cubs were last in MLB in AVG w/ RISP for a 15 year span?

That would not be remotely surprising considering we seem to be in the bottom 10 of the majors almost every year.

Yeah, but at least he threw a 27 hopper to home plate.

Was really hoping we could build up a cushion before the death march against good teams but instead seem to be heading back down to earth. Thankfully the A’s series has kept us over .500 for now

Baseball is such a frustrating game. This series is going to put a lot of pressure on the pen for many games to come.

It’s great that we’re on day 4 of 16 straight games

Kilian has allowed 22 runs in 4 MLB starts. Seems sub-optimal

Cubs constantly striking out with men on base is also sub-optimal

They could have batted Nelly there.

Against Brazoban I'd rather see Rios(or Madrigal, but that wasn't possible).  Plus for all of the TV broadcast's hand wringing about Ross's lost flexibility, the main potential PH opportunity the rest of the game is Hosmer against a LHRP, which Velazquez will be well suited for.

Well it lined up great but Velazquez couldn't square it
