Three really fun starters, a useful depth starter, and Grant Kipp. Kipp shall be referred to in this manner until he has fewer walks than innings pitched.

Morel with a solo opposite field bomb that he had no business hitting out of the park.  When Wisdom inevitably comes back to earth, he needs to be playing everyday in the bigs.

Mervis just missed going back to back, but flew out to the track deep in right center.

Jordan Wicks gave up a leadoff home run and then allowed only one more base runner the rest of the way (assuming he’s done): 5 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 1 HR

Yes, he looked really good. Amaya is 2/3 with a SB.

It's been a long while, but Amaya hit well in his limited first exposure to AA and he's on the 40 man.  Gotta wonder how long they'll keep him in Tennessee when he's running a 1.000+ OPS with near 1:1 K/BB

Aliendo has been the primary catcher. Amaya has been mostly DHing. When he has caught, it hasn't been pretty. Aliendo is no great shakes either, he kicks the ball around with his glove like a hockey goalie batting pucks away from the net.

I'm sure the answer is no, and it probably should be, but I wonder if there's any thought to calling up Thompson with Taillon out.  If you piggybacked him and Assad and kept each guy to 10-15 batters I bet it would be pretty effective.  And like Thompson's not going to have a ton of bullets available this year anyway, probably topping out around 100 IP?  There's not really much opportunity cost if you think he'll be effective.

They've both caught 6 games each, which is a setup that could easily continue at Iowa considering the lack of meaningful prospects there.  Not trying to say Amaya should be on the cusp of being a big league catcher, but with his clock running I think you need to consider being aggressive in challenging his bat so you know what you have.
