Quoting other posts is a mystery to me right now.  What does the + button even do?  Is there an option to just hit "reply" to a specific post?

Do you not have the word "quote" right down below this?

Oh, lord.  I had no idea that was a link; I thought it was there indicating you had to use the + button to quote.

Clearly I am very smart.

I’ve seen this on other forums, it’s multi quote. It basically stores a quote and then when you quote someone else I think it allows you to put both quotes in your reply.  Not sure exactly how it works here

That's exactly how it works. You add the quote then scroll to the next post you want to quote and do the same. When you scroll down to the editor at the bottom of the page, it has both posts quoted and you can reply from there.

So I cant really split a quote up now right?  Like in the phbpp software if you're replying to a very long post you could manually split up the quote code to respond to different parts of post.  Here looks like I can snip out but not manually add in multiple quotes. Does that question make sense?

I think you can still use regular quote tags and do it manually but it doesn’t seem as easy as breaking up the text and using [quote][/quote] around the different chunks of text.

How do I cancel quoting if I accidentally hit that link?

This happened to me and drove me nuts. I hit refresh and went back to the reply and there was a button to clear the quote or something.

Sorry I didnt meant that you could use the manual quote tags like you could on the old board.  It's more this:

Quote

Test

[quote]split quote[/quote]

Then creating another quote

Quote

[quote]split quote[/quote]

Ah I see. The quote button doesn't show up on mobile version of the browser.

Hey, I've got all my icons now!

Yeah. I really had to band-aid and bubble gum solution that one. I absolutely cannot figure out why some of us are being delivered the icon set from the staging site while others are receiving it from production NSBB.

Anyway, I patch-worked it together and will address it properly down the road.
