As rough as the line is so far, I think I'm more encouraged than not with Wisdom. Still hitting the hell out of the ball (prior to today), while making more contact and chasing less. If those three things hold he'll be good.

 

Less enthused with Schwindel. I appreciate that he's walking more but contact is down and everything is on the ground. Those are huge red flags

5 games in and I'm not sure I have a feel for this team at all. I still see them at 74-78 wins. Offense is going to struggle at times, pitching is going to get lit up at times but overall they should be competent enough. Defense has been a strength (I think?) and it seems like we already have some solid options in the pen. And obviously with Suzuki being the first cornerstone of the "next great Cubs team", his hot start is very promising.

What do we have like 6 barrels in 5 games. Its pathetic.
