I will stop doing this the day it stops telling me positive things, but Happ is up to 126 wRC in August and 105 since the All-Star break. He was at a career mark of 116 prior to this season.

Did he have some nagging injuries at the start of the season? Maybe he's healthy.

Splits don't really bear that out. I mean, potentially, but then they must have resurfaced after May.

Really, for him, it's just about getting the ball in the air consistently.

Definitely a correlation there. Anyone recall that Fangraphs article on Happ last year? I'd love to see an update on it. Went in depth on his swing% in each count. Basically saying his hot start was the result of attacking fastballs in early counts and also being more aggressive with two strikes.
