I think trading a bunch of picks in order to move up and take the fifth best qb in the draft is a horrible idea.

If someone falls into the teens and the Bears trade a couple picks to move up a few spots to get him, fine.

I still think there’s a very strong chance the Bears starting QB in 2022 won’t be on the roster when they break camp in Bourbonnais in August, and unless someone falls into their laps, that might not be the worst result, long term.

I realize that my desire is partially for selfish reasons of wanting something to look forward to. Logically throwing away a lot of future value to take a QB at least 4 other QB needy teams is not overly smart. But dammit I just want a QB...Honestly, outside of Lawrence, the other 4 have moved around so much do we really know who the 5th best QB of the draft is? QB is such a tough position to evaluate that I feel like any one of those 5 could be a star or a bust.

The 5th best QB is usually Will Grier or Davis Webb, a midround guy. But sometimes it's Lamar Jackson or Dan Marino (6th QB) who goes late in the 1st and is a steal there. I think Mac Jones is better than the typical 5th best QB in a draft. And if its Justin Fields (the one rumored to fall from the top 5 for sure), I think he's the 2nd best QB in this draft. Sometimes teams miss. OF course, he still could be a bust like anyone else, but if the Bears do trade up for him and not trade a ton the thought process will be correct regardless of the outcome of Fields' career.

Don’t care if this is mean, but I can think of few people who are bigger losers than the people who go to the Draft

I get people being superfans at actual games, but getting decked out and acting craaaazy for the cameras when your team is about to pick is sad.

Half of them aren't real fans. I'm convinced that the NFL puts out Craigslist ads to get them to show up. Are there really 20 Jags fans in Cleveland?

I’ve had this same thought. They almost seem like they are paid to act like that.

Adding Pitts to those receivers in Atl? That seems unfair.

There are rumbles that Julio Jones might be traded

Think they'd take Foles?

This is starting to get into a realistic trade scenario for Fields

Yeah, I think we're pretty much at the point where you have to make the move. We're no longer in multiple future 1sts territory I believe.
