Now this is starting to annoy me as this game will skew how bad this offense has been and will probably continue to be

(Ok I’m not annoyed, dongs are fun)

Sweet birth control commercial on the Braves broadcast. Also Kelly Crul (sp?) is now working for the Braves.

She did last year too but since the Cubs only played the Central you probably didn’t see any Braves games.

This puts it well. Fine enough idea, especially with a 9 man pen, but clearly didn't take

I mean, he's the 10th-12th reliever, right? We started with nine, three went on the IL. Who would we bring up if we cut Miller today?

I take it back, I forgot Wieck came up, too. We've already used 13 relievers this year. Who would be #14 if we cut Miller?

I really want to see Megill, but yeah otherwise I'd love to have Wieck or Steele up full-time.

lol @ myself here. I've obviously been paying no attention. The guys from the IL are back. Strop, Wieck & Steele are all back down.

I simply can't understand why you wouldn't be paying more attention to this team ;)

Javy is on pace for about 10-12 walks and 250-275 Ks, depending on how many games he plays. Dude has lost about 20 points on his contact rate, sitting at 47%. No plan at the plate other than swing away. We cannot be considering offering a contract. We need to push all of our chips in the SS derby this winter and move the hell on.

I thought I read somewhere yesterday that his chase rate at pitches outside the zone was the lowest in his career (though still well above league average) and but his contact rate in the strike zone was also the lowest in his career.
