Maybe a hedge if Cain sucks/is just old after a whole year off? Or maybe looking to move Yelich to 1B since there’s some indicators Hirua might suck and Yelich’s defense in the OF is slipping. Weird fit either way with Garcia/Cain/Yelich as the regular OF and Bradley not having any real platoon advantage.

Maybe they'll play him at third base, just get real weird with it. Bc this seems like a "Rockies signing Ian Desmond with no spot at short or the OF available" kinda signing. They could be banking on Cain aging quickly or Avisail Garcia being bad again I suppose.
