Annoying game. We should have won it in 9.

 

Leadoff single and Rizzo is ahead in the count 3-2. Thought for sure at that point we were walking it off. But Rizzo hits one 350 feet to center, Javy grounds right into the shift, and Schwarber takes a strike looking.

 

Cubs had a shot to win both games started by Mills and Rea and one swing last night and some weak bad luck hits allowed today and we lost them both.

 

Hopefully we can win tomorrow. I’d hate to go into that 5 games in 3 days bizarre series on a 3 game losing streak

I mean, that was the story with the cubs for the last 2 seasons

 

a series win would have put them 7.5 up on the brewers with 40ish games to play. Instead they're one loss away from 3.5

The point was that at the time the Cubs had lost 1 game in a row and were tied in the middle innings of the next game
